A film crowdsourced from Star Wars fans and an interactive documentary about Superstorm Sandy were among the innovations on show at the Tribeca Film Festival.
BBC delves into the transmedia projects identified by Tribeca. From a cooperative project about recreating Star Wars to a recording robot people can talk to and films their reactions and responses to each question. These interactive transmedia project add a another level to a story, that in previous years would have only been taken on face value.
There are three questions posed near the end of the clip which I find true to my own process in this project where I need to ask myself:
- Is the story good?
- Is it being told in a way that brings craft, imagination and skill to that space?
- Is the creator passionate about it?
I hope I am achieving this in the transmedia I have provided in this project and that the story the group has put together is riveting enough to interest the target market. Of which I just realised, we haven’t actually yet defined…
